We had a very hardy breakfast at Sami's City Diner. I had the traditional breakfast. Wife built her own omelet and our son had a gigantic breakfast burrito. The food was great and the service was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and it was our first time having reindeer sausage. It was very good as well. They give you plenty to est and the service is very good.
My food is delicious. Started with a cup of clam chowder, house made. It really hit with the white pepper added.
What’s not to love? The place has a unique character, the vibe was great, the staff were attentive, and the food hit the mark.
Wonderful place to get a simple breakfast or lunch. Staff was friendly and we where seated fast. The food was comforting and delicious. The strawberry rhubarb jam was especially yummy, and upon asking about it we learned it's made in house. Definatly worth comming back to try more of the menu.
Basically what you would expect for a diner. Nice style clean quintessential diner feel. All day breakfast served until 10 at night and they have shakes and adult beverages as well. Our breakfast burrito was great, on par with many breakfast burritos I've had at Mexican restaurants. I was happily surprised. The sauce was ok and they had Tabasco and other hot sauces at the table. The burger was solid. Better than some of the other places I've tried in Anchorage already. I would get it again. My only gripe is that it is a little pricey especially the malts I found to be a little too expensive but it was certainly good. I would have preferred more shake and less whipped cream but hey. I would leave a 4 star but they were fast efficient and clean and food was cooked great so only issue is with price. Maybe they could consider a happy hour for the Malts and shakes.
We really enjoyed our meal here. The waitress was fabulous and the food was very good. I had the fish and chips and they were delicious. Definitely a diner that I’d go to again
Sami got his start as a driver for Sicily’s Pizza in Anchorage. He scrimped and saved until he had enough and built this place from the ground up. An immigrant can make it if they are willing sacrifice and do the hard work to live the American dream! Congrats Sami! You have a winner and your meatloaf is the best in the city!
Had a great time, the staff was very nice and the atmosphere is very groovy! The food was amazing and the best part is that it was actually very affordable too! Over all really good value, very delicious, and a good time!
Cheeseburgers, fries, onion rings, and milkshakes were all outstanding. Our server was friendly and attentive. Delicious food and great atmosphere.
Well here there's no such thing as " where's the beef."
